The Bonneville Environmental Foundation (BEF) was founded in 1998 to support watershed restoration programs and develop new sources of renewable energy. Funding for these efforts has been provided in a way that would be called unusual for most foundations. BEF, a not-for-profit organization, markets green power products to public utilities, businesses, government agencies and individuals.

Lower Columbia River Estuary Program - This program is part of the EPA's National
Estuary Program and aims to develop actions to preserve and enhance the water quality of the Columbia River while supporting its biological and human communities. This website contains a lot of useful information regarding the lower Columbia River including our Management Plan as well as technical reports such as the Columbia River Bi-State Report.

National Biosolids Partnership

National BMP Database Website
This database provides access to BMP performance data in a standardized format for almost 200 BMP studies conducted over the past fifteen years. The database may be searched and/or downloaded on this Web site. Additional BMP studies are currently being prepared for the database. The site also has downloadable performance summary information.  The database was developed by the Urban Water Resources Research Council (UWRRC) of ASCE under a cooperative agreement with the US Environmental Protection Agency.

ORELAP Accrediting Laboratories The Oregon Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program has been granted approval by the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP) to serve as a national environmental laboratory accreditation authority.  ORELAP is accrediting laboratories for testing used to implement the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) as well as the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA).  ORELAP is currently accrediting laboratories to standards adopted at the 2000 National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference (NELAC).   Follow the link below to learn more about the program, and learn the labs that have been certified in Oregon.

Public Entity Environmental Management System Resource  (PEER) Center 

"The One-Stop Shop for EMS Information and Resources" - Cities, states and federal entities use EMSs for cheaper, faster, better and greener management of their environmental issues. The PEER Center provides EMS guidance, tools, and training. This valuable resource links you to real-life mentorstechnical assistance, and problem-solving strategies.

In 1994, a broad coalition of public-interest organizations and energy companies created the Renewable Northwest Project (RNP) to promote renewable energy development in the region. RNP is  forceful advocate in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana, for basing the region's energy future on clean, renewable resources, such as solar, wind and geothermal.

The WateReuse Association  (WateReuse) is a national organization dedicated to increasing the beneficial use of recycled water.  Previously known as the WateReuse Association of California, WateReuse has grown rapidly and is effective because of its diverse membership consisting of public agencies, water suppliers,  local, state and federal governmental agencies, consultants, industries and individuals who, either work in the field of water recycling or support its use.
