James Ollerenshaw and Janet Gillaspie met with Ann
Levine and Jan Renfroe of DEQ on January 18 to discuss a new draft of the MS4
General Conditions. The following is a
summary (hopefully complete) of the changes DEQ has made from the version in
the current permits.
General
The word co-permittee has been replaced with permittee
throughout. New definition of permittee
added in definitions section.

Permit Renewal Schedule
The DEQ’s NW Region and Western Region have developed a new permit renewal schedule for NPDES permits. Jan Renfroe indicated that this schedule would also apply to the MS4 permit renewals. Contact Janet Gillaspie for more information on meetings to be held in the near future in each region to discuss this schedule.
3.
DEQ Stormwater Task Force
DEQ is reconvening the Stormwater Task Force to
evaluate and recommend implementation strategies for Phase II. Meeting scheduled for Feb 8th,
2000, at DEQ Headquarters, Portland.
